- Press ⌘↵ (or click Reword) to rewrite it.
- Click Copy — or press Enter — to copy the result. Press Esc to close.
Frequently asked questions
Why does Rewordify need Accessibility permission?
It's used only to detect the double‑Space shortcut that opens the rewrite window. No keystrokes are recorded or sent anywhere. You can grant it under System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility. Rewordify checks continuously, so the shortcut starts working the moment you enable it.
Is my text private?
Yes. By default Rewordify uses Apple Intelligence on your Mac, so your text never leaves the device. It's only sent to a cloud provider if you choose to add your own OpenAI or Claude API key in Settings. See our Privacy Policy.
The double‑Space shortcut isn't working.
- Make sure Rewordify is enabled in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility.
- If you recently updated the app, remove Rewordify from the Accessibility list and add it again.
- Tap the two spaces quickly — there's a short time window between them.
How do I change the writing style?
Open Rewordify from the menu bar → Settings → Default Style. Choose Professional, Casual, Concise, Friendly, or Fix Grammar. Every rewrite uses your chosen style.
How do I use my own OpenAI or Claude key?
Open Settings → Provider, pick OpenAI or Anthropic, then paste your API key in the API Key field and click Save. Keys are stored securely in the macOS Keychain.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are handled by Apple. Manage or cancel anytime at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions, or in Settings within the app.
